Digital Interventions & Strategic Accessibility
The system wasn't built for everyone, so I’m here to help redesign it with care.
I am a visual artist and strategic consultant with a background in managing high-stakes, detail-oriented systems. My work is grounded in the belief that systems — digital, logistical, and linguistic — are never neutral.
I help organisations move beyond vague ideas of “inclusion” toward clear, durable design choices. Through sharp, material interrogations of systems, I expose hidden biases and help rebuild them with an ethics of care, clarity, and endurance.
I provide codesign, audits and feedback services for organisations that want to move beyond compliance and toward meaningful, embedded accessibility.
•Technical Accessibility & Document Structure: I specialise in transforming complex documents, data, and websites into genuinely accessible digital formats. This goes beyond compliance. I focus on screen-reader compatibility, logical heading hierarchies, and cognitive ease of use, ensuring your digital environments are navigable, legible, and accessible.
• Logistical Flow Strategy (Digital & Physical)
Drawing on years of end-to-end project management for international music tours and festivals, I consult on the choreography of your systems, spaces, and events. I analyse how people move through your digital platforms and physical sites, identifying points of friction — particularly for people navigating chronic illness, fatigue, or disability — and propose practical, grounded improvements.
• Language Audits: I perform language audits to identify and unpick gendered, ableist, or exclusionary assumptions in organisational communications. I then translate this material into clear, inclusive, and effective copy. I pay particular attention to vague language introduced in the name of “simplification,” replacing institutional jargon with literal, logical instructions that respect the reader’s time, energy, and cognitive load.
• Strategic Advisory: I am available to join planning committees or project meetings as a specialist voice. I provide feedback to ensure accessibility is baked into your project from day one, rather than added as an afterthought. This is particularly valuable during early planning stages, funding applications, or major system redesigns.
What I Offer:
My consultancy is built on a "choreography of care" developed over a diverse career and blended with lived experience:
• Institutional Accessibility: Former casual staff member with RMIT’s Equitable Learning Services, specialised in digital accessibility within complex learning management systems (Canvas).
• Logistical Expert: Former Managing Director of Lyrical Road, providing end-to-end logistics and account management for international bands and music festivals.
• Academic: Bachelor of Fine Arts (RMIT), with research focused on the intersection of language, power, and feminist resistance.
• Business Development: Experienced in building and managing digital shopfronts, stakeholder relationships, and financial systems.
Foundation:
I work with arts organisations, educational institutions, small businesses, and cultural producers who recognise that accessibility is not a box-ticking exercise, but a structural and ethical responsibility.
Who I Work With:
Every system is unique. I offer bespoke quotes tailored to the scale of your project and the level of investigation required.
I work best with clearly defined project scopes and sufficient lead time, allowing for careful, considered accessibility interventions rather than reactive fixes.
