Melanie’s practice takes an expanded approach across media — a method she calls expanded crafting. Her work weaves together stories of care and resistance, from the domestic to the environmental. Stitching, painting, and assembling, she explores systems of obsession and control, and how acts of making can become quiet forms of protest, mourning, and renewal.
